The warm one has stopped moving.
It was full of fight, but after I bit out its throat, that soon stopped the struggle.
Sweet blood floods my mouth, sating the endless hunger.
Only for a brief moment.
I need more.
Smashing the skull open, I reach for the sweetest meat.
I eagerly slurp the tender matter as the juices dribble down my chin.
Images.
Memories?
A girl. Jennifer? Holding hands. Warmth that does not comes from the bright sun shining down.
Love?
They are gone.
A lone tear of puss trickles from my rotted eyeball.
I want to remember again.
I guess you could call this the end of my 50 word zombie trilogy that started here : -
These two new stories actually came from a conversation I had with about zombies absorbing memories whilst they munched through the brains of their victims, so if you find this all a bit disgusting you can blame him!
Anyway, hope you enjoyed them.
Blame me? BLAME me? Pay me! 😅 Or I send those LitZombs after ye! 😈 It reminds me of iZombie, where she eats ze brains and remembers stuff and helps solve crimes. I liked that show until I stopped watching it.
I really like this notion of zombies (or even vampires) absorbing memories from the meat/blood that is eaten/drunk.
These are both fantastic, but the second is my favourite.
