That image of the headless corpse stumbling up the steps and the horrified realisation of who it was, is the proper stuff of my nightmares. Just needed to turn it into words.

It can also be a curse as I tend to rush towards that ending and forget all the important stuff in the middle of a story. At least with micro fiction I don’t have to worry about that too much 😁
