A 100 word short story
Behind the jeweled "glory" of every battle throughout history are those irreplaceable human facets, that precious human toll, ornamented with blood & lost tomorrows - that permanent plundering, forever marring the brilliance of our fellow man.
Thank you, Dan.
Beautifully said, J.Q. 🙏
Thanks for your kind words, reading and restacking 👍🏼
The night before the battle, great vignette, captures it so well. I still think we need "The Chronicles of Grimbauld" or something ;)
Thanks very much Alexander 🙏
I am thinking of bringing these all together into a book but I’ll need to speak to far cleverer people than me to figure out how to do that 🤔
"but still wanting to look them in the eye and show he would be by their side no matter their fate."
The mark of a true leader on the battlefield.
So real and filled with the dread before battle. You paint the scene so well, Dan.
You know, sometimes now I like to play "guess the prompt word" as I read these 😄 Today I got it correct!
Thanks very much Nathan 🙏
Well done on getting the prompt word 😁
Yeah, like I said, as soon I saw the word “tent” this tragic image formed almost instantly
These are all the stories I wrote in Philadelphia when I couldn’t sleep. A couple more to go and then I’ve got to figure out something new 🤔
Another great mini epic- thanks for sharing Dan.
Thanks very much Jason 🙏
You're welcome 😊
