It’s funny, these stories have all just grown from that initial idea of writing about Scottish history. There’s never really been a plan for where it goes next but, like you said, I have tried to make the next one better than the last. As I suppose is the case with all writing but, by this one, I felt I had found my voice for them if that makes any sense 🤔
Anyway, I’m probably rambling as it’s early in the morning. Glad you liked it 😁👍🏼
While it takes the usual Hollywood historical liberties, I thought Netflix's "Outlaw King" did a really good job at demonstrating just what Bruce was up against when he decided to rebel and pursue kingship.
I learned the legend of Bruce and the spider when I was a child. I love what you’ve done with this bit of Scottish history, especially Wallace’s specter. Very nicely done, Dan!
I knew you had it in you for another episode lifted from the annals of Scottish history! 👏 I like the theory you explore here as well.
Thanks Daniel 🙏
I think this time I really am done 😁
Great description! And charged-up action. And the spider was a nice touch.
Thanks Jim 🙏
This gave me goosebumps! What a vivid story. Incredible beginning!
Thanks very much Shaina 🙏
I've said this before, but I think *this* is my favourite.
I feel you've tightened the language here, too. It is expressive, but minimal, which gives it real emphasis and punch. Excellent work as always, Dan.
Thanks very much Nathan 🙏

Not rambling at all 😆
It's great that these have all grown from that initial idea.

Is that the one with Chris Pine? I don’t think I’ve seen that. I’ll need to check it out 🤔👍🏼
It's definitely one of Netflix's better original movies. Also, while not about a Scottish royal, "The King" is pretty darn good as well.
Thanks Josh. I’ll have a look at both of them 👍🏼

This will probably be the last of these Scottish stories but was also my favourite to write. I’m so glad you enjoyed it 👍🏼🙂
