Surprisingly sweet and sad! Really well written Dan and I also loved the additional historical commentary.

Love this prequel, Dan! Sometimes, a character like Grimbauld, stays with you. It seems as if you know him so well! Great writing!

Thanks very much, Caro. I’m glad you enjoyed it and thanks again for the prompt 🙏

Yeah, I can’t seem to shake him 😁

I’ve got another one I’m working on just now. Strangely, the shorter form seems to suit him. I’ve struggled to write longer stories as they seem to grind to a halt. Maybe these snapshots are the best way to tell his tale 🤔

On the eve of battle, make peace with your maker. Great to have the historical notes, too. Make me want to watch "Rome" again. Such a great series.

Rome was great. Not watched it in a while. The new Rome thing on Amazon is OK if a bit daft 😁

There's a new Rome thing? Ah yes, I vaguely remember it, I did not check it out. "OK" is not selling it either :) Pass!

Really great, Dan. As always, so rich in imagery and feeling in so few words. I felt the tingle of hope it would be Grimbauld and was most pleased when I saw that was true.
