I’m with David on this. Could definitely see you build on this one. Great story, Dan! (And oops, I somehow missed your other story! Checking it out now!)
Urban fantasy has always interested me and my Mario La Torre mysteries are of that ilk, so I might return to this storyline again further down the road 👍🏼
Yes, you titled this well. No "Casper the Friendly Ghost" vibe here. And we humans can certainly reek if proper hygiene is not employed. Well done. And as others have commented here, a great start to something more, even though I'm not big on the whole vampire thing.
Putrid, love that word. I got Blade vibes, same as Nathan, even more so, since we have it queued for viewing this weekend. It was the first DVD I bought (when it came out, along with my Sherwood Newcastle DVD player, which still works!).
Hehe, well, you never know. I tried to play one of my CDs recently and it has already degraded to the point where I have skips and noise, making it impossible to listen to. Apparently, this will happen to all CDs. Avg. longevity 50-100 years, depending on use and manufacturing quality can go down to 5 years for CD-R. DVD and BD have an avg. lifespan of 10-20 years. Most of my Data DVD-Rs and CD-R/RWs are unreadable now. Better start digitising... also, we need that Data Crystal tech (5D optical data storage).

Thanks very much Justin 🙏🙂
Definitely see this going with urban fantasy/vampire vibes if you would to continue writing.
Thanks David 🙏

Thanks very much Alexander 🙏
Such a shame that Stephen Norrington, the director, only made Blade and then League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and then quit the business
I think my first DVD was made by Wharfdale. My brother still has it in his garage. Could probably survive a nuclear war 😁

Jeezo. I’ve got cupboards and cupboards of CD’s. Can’t even play them in my car now! 🙄
Love it, Dan.
BLADE! That iconic opening in the club. That's the vibe I get here :)
Thanks very much, Nathan 🙏
That was the exact scene I had in mind 😁
